Consultant Opinion about the BUPA Strategy (November 2006)
FIPO is always keen to gauge the views of consultants from around the UK on contentious issues. In August 2006 a detailed questionnaire was sent out to all consultant orthopaedic and ENT surgeons. This asked their views on all aspects of the BUPA Insurance Initiatives to introduce restricted specialist networks.
The response was about 40% (993 replies). All returned questionnaires were analysed independently by a communications company and then presented to FIPO. A Press release of the major findings was then made and can be accessed here:
